Gift tags #pinaddicts

I’ve had this tagged for quite  a while on my Pinterest page and decided to use them as an activity with my 4yo…. she loved it besides the waiting between stages.

But lesson learnt – if you want them to be perfectly cut out and stamped – don’t allow the 4yo to do it!

Some of them cracked a little which is I think due to not kneading them enough and getting all the air out. I also baked the first batch on my ceramic tray which I think made the temperature a little hot so the second batch I lowered to under 100 degrees which seemed to work better. I think the celcius thing threw me  a little!

I love them, they’re going to look so good with my brown wrapping and twine under the Christmas tree.

This year I will be prepared for Christmas, no more last minute running around trying to find presents and wrapping paper and food!!  My husband thinks I’m crazy and keeps telling me I’m driving him mad with it…  he will thank me later… I hope.

I’ve even stocked up on gold coins for the children’s stockings and I’ve got some presents delivered …you started buying yet?

I’m joining up with the Pinaddicts this month so go along and check them out!

Pinaddicts challenge

Morning y’all!

It’s my turn to host the challenge this month and I am so looking forward to seeing what everyone has made!

We’re starting a little late this month due to the Jubilee but here is how it works:

This month I decided to attempt the crochet thing.  My mom inspired me when she was here on her last visit when she made the kids a blanket in a week.

I found a U-tube video to learn the basics and off I went! I have loads of projects on my Pinterest Pinaddicts Page but I decided to just do my own thing taking inspiration from it!

Here are some of my makings…

I have to say I am chuffed to bits with them. Am addicted.  It’s so easy and quick! And they make super birthday gifts on the cheaper side of the budget too! The girls are loving the headbands for summer and I’m loving experimenting with different stiches and embellishments!

This month we have a prize provided by Abakhan – seriously head on over to see their lovely stuff – they have something for everyone – fabric to crafty stuff to crochet stuff – all at great prices! This is one £50 voucher I really want to win!! Don’t worry though it’s all done randomly and I don’t need to make any difficult decisions!

Paper mobile

So poor little baby angel doesn’t have a mobile (I stood on it when putting it in storage after number 2 was done with it!!), nor does her little corner of the room have much decoration.

Something needed to be done!

And I didn’t know what to do! That was until I stumbled upon this little site called Pinterest. Man oh man does that site have some beautiful stuff!!

Which is where I found my inspiration!

And here it is…

After killing my fingers cutting circles I was told you get a machine that does it (I need one).   Apparently there will be a next time too as Jenna-May has placed an order!  But I may try this light decor one though!

OK so I know it’s hung skew I will fix it – My husband the DIY expert – tsk tsk!
